3A Composites is an innovator and a global leader in the production of the high-quality aluminium composite material (ACM) - ALUCOBOND®. The company is a part of Schweiter Technologies, a publicly listed entity on the Swiss Stock Exchange, headquartered in Steinhausen, Switzerland. 3A Composites, formerly known as Alcan Composites, is an independent division of Schweiter Technologies and has approximately 4500 employees worldwide.
To foster Indian footprint, 3A Composites invested in India in 2007 to set up a plant, ofces, manpower and sales & marketing infrastructure. Technical know-how was transferred to India to service customer needs locally and globally. This is in perfect congruence with Prime Minister’s MAKE IN INDIA initiative.
The cutting-edge manufacturing facility based near Pune, Maharashtra has infrastructure that rivals some of the best in the world. The plant’s total capacity exceeds 4 million square meters. To ensure worker safety, sophisticated safety measures are built into the manufacturing process at 3A Composites.
3A Composites is ISO 9001:2015 certified for quality management and ISO 14001:2015 for environmental management systems. Additionally, the company holds internationally recognised third-party product and process certifications from Thomas Bell-Wright.

ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY
The parent company of ALUCOBOND® is 3A Composites, which is known globally to strive continuously for environmental protection.
It has never been more important to protect the natural environment and preserve the planet for future generations. Therefore, 3A Composites is absolutely committed to ongoing self-improvement programmes – many of which go way beyond government’s ecological environmental regulations.
3A Composites strives to be a leader in this field and was one of the first companies to develop its own environmental management system, which is regularly assessed by independent auditors. The successful certification according to EN ISO 14001 speaks for itself.
Recycling
ALUCOBOND® is a 100% recyclable material; both the core and the aluminium skins can be returned to the material cycle and reused.
Sustainability
The DGNB certification system (German association for sustainable construction) sets stringent international construction standards. It was established by a group of initiators who had already been dealing with issues around sustainable construction – 3A Composites is a founding member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB)

Environment, health and safety

Recycling
ALUCOBOND® can be fully recycled, i.e. both the core material and the aluminium cover sheets can be recycled and used for the production of new material.
